Hi, I'm Mandy

I'm a Pittsburgh native, transplanted to California. I’ve always been deeply curious about how our past shapes who we become, particularly how family dynamics and societal expectations influence our lives. Growing up in a family shaped by generational patterns, I adapted in creative ways to protect myself. But over time, those strategies that once kept me safe started to hold me back, preventing me from living authentically.

As I entered adulthood, I began to notice anxiety creeping in. It was a constant companion that affected my relationships, career, and my ability to feel at peace within myself. I found myself trapped in cycles of stress and uncertainty, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to break free. These old patterns, formed in childhood, had woven their way into my nervous system, making it difficult to feel truly comfortable or grounded.

So began my healing journey...

Driven by curiosity and a deep desire for change, I immersed myself in the study of psychology and counseling, eventually earning a PhD. While this academic path gave me valuable insight into my struggles, I soon realized that understanding my anxiety on a cognitive level wasn’t enough. True healing required something more profound—an approach that engaged all aspects of who I am—mind, body, and spirit.

I began to explore somatic therapy and integrative body psychotherapy (IBP), which taught me how to regulate my nervous system and heal the deep-seated patterns I had carried for so long. It wasn’t an overnight process, but little by little, I began to reconnect with my body, release stored tension, and make peace with the parts of myself I had once tried to protect or ignore.

💫 Today, I feel safer within myself. Anxiety no longer has the hold it once did. I live more fully in my body and embrace who I am.

Though it’s still a work in progress, I now know how to dance between connection and disconnection, always finding my way back to myself. The transformation I’ve experienced has made me passionate about supporting others on their own healing journeys. I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to live with anxiety and feel disconnected from yourself, and I’m here to guide you in your own process of healing and self-discovery.
